Synopsis of CIG Press Briefing
1. Two (2) positive cases.
As of 19th June, the cumulative number of positive cases of COVID-19 is 195 and is broken down as follows:
Active – 51 (Symptomatic – 2; Asymptomatic – 49)
Recovered – 143
Deceased – 1

2. The period of self-isolation for all COVID-19 positive persons will now be 10 days for asymptomatic cases and at least 10 days for symptomatic cases from the onset of symptoms plus an additional 3 days without symptoms.
All cases will still need to produce 2 negative results from testing within 48 hours of each other.

3. The Emergency Evacuation Charter to India will be available for ticket purchasing on Monday (22nd June). All persons registered with the Governor’s Office will be provided with the information on how to purchase a ticket before it is available to the wider public.
This chartered flight is only for persons hold an Indian passport or Overseas Citizen of India card.

4. There are Air Bridge flights to the United Kingdom scheduled for 31st July and 28th August. These flights will primarily be for students returning to university.

5. A privately arranged Emergency Evacuation Charter to Cancun, Mexico is schedule for 24th June. This flight will transport Mexican and Peruvian citizens only.
Additional information for this flight will be posted to the Governor’s official social media pages.

6. Any students needing to return to the United States for university in the Fall should register online at www.exploregov.ky/travel. All persons registered here will be contacted directly when flights are scheduled and seats become available.
