1.              One (1) positive case.

 

As of 12th June, the cumulative number of positive cases of COVID-19 is 187 and is broken down as follows:

Active – 71 (Symptomatic – 3; Asymptomatic – 67; Admitted to hospital – 1)

Recovered – 115

Deceased – 1

2.              The Ready2Work Programme has been launched again through Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman (WORC). This programme provides training and development opportunities for those who require tooling and upskilling, the development of employability skills, and soft skills training in access and maintain long-term employment.

This initiative connects unemployed Caymanians with short-term employment opportunities in the private sector designed to lead to long-term employment.

3.              The Deputy Governor and the Civil Service has launched the “CIG Cares Community Support Programme” which will provide civil servants with the opportunity to support the NAU’s grocery fund by making donations on a regular basis.

Civil servants may contribute a fixed amount monthly or a one-time donation via a payroll deduction.
