Update – 25 May 2020
Synopsis of CIG Press Briefing

1.              Five (5) positive cases.
-       One (1) person had direct contact to a positive case.
-       Four (4) persons contracted through community transmission and were part of the wide community screening practice.

As of 25th May, the cumulative number of positive cases of COVID-19 is 134 and is broken down as follows:
Active – 72 (Symptomatic – 13; Asymptomatic – 59)
Recovered – 61
Deceased – 1

2.              Progress is being made to arrange an Emergency Evacuation Charter to India. Further details will be announced when possible.

3.              Persons having difficulty coping and managing stress during these difficult times can call the confidential mental health helpline, operated by the Cayman Islands Government in collaboration with private partners.
The number is 1-800-534-MIND (6463) and hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
