Synopsis of CIG Press Briefing
1. FOUR (4) POSITIVE CASES.
- One (1) patient with travel history and three (3) with direct contact with persons who tested positive.
As at 5th April, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 is at THIRTY-NINE** (39) and is broken down as follows:
Active – 37
Recovered – 1
Deceased – 1

2. Stores supplying products for infants (i.e. “baby shops”) that have requested an exemption have been approved to open for the hours of 9:00am – 1:00pm during Soft Curfew.

3. The Commissioner of Police has clarified the issues regarding water activities – specifically swimming. Swimming in the sea is permitted however “swimming” does not include snorkelling or diving.
Any and all activities ON the water are forbidden. This includes boating, parasailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc.

4. The Premier has clarified the issues regarding fishing. Persons are permitted to use their daily 90-minute allowance to fish from a shoreline or dock. Travel time to/from a shoreline or dock must be taken from the time allowance.

5. The daily 90-minute allowance for outdoor recreational activity (exercise) can only be taken during the hours of 6:00am – 6:00pm. [see Regulation 8(6)]
